Know what I miss?

I miss the feeling of Friday. The feeling of "I only have to make it through a couple more hours and I can have two entire days off." There are no Fridays when you are a mommy and wifey. I love being both...Greatest job out there, but I just miss the feeling of Friday. I know I'm random and weird...but you all already knew that!

Don't mess with a man and his spatula...

Going to bed with his new "luvy"

Right before Dad took it away in the hopes we could get him in bed

After it was taken away...hysterics

Scuzing dad off after Chad caved and gave it back to him!
For some reason Monk has attached himself to one of my spatula's from the kitchen. He carried it everywhere with him today. When we took it away to put him in bed he broke out into hysterics. We finally caved and let him take it to bed with him. Crazy Kid!!! The pictures got out of order but you get the point. We just love life with this kid!

10 Months old last Wednesday!!!

I totally forgot to post that Monk is 10 months old. I can't believe it. He is getting so big and old. Almost a year. I have already started planning is b-day party. It is going to be a blast.

Please don't let it be...

I read on People.com (one of my favortie reads!) that Vanessa Hudgens auditioned for the role of Leah for the next Twilight instalment. Please please please let the casting directors see what I see...that she would be horrible for the part. I am not a big fan of her at all because she is too cutesy. A stronger actress needs to play Leah. I just don't think she could pull it off even if she is gorgeous. She is annoying. I just couldn't take it if I had to watch her butcher the role (I know...I am weird for even caring, but I do!)

Me and my Chaddy...

"The Notebook" is one of my favorite books and movies. I absolutely love it. I love the quote..."If you're a bird, I'm a bird" but my favorite part of the movie is this:
Noah: Would you just stay with me?
Allie: Stay with you? What for? Look at us, we're already fightin'
Noah: Well that's what we do, we fight... You tell me when I am being an arrogant son of a bitch and I tell you when you are a pain in the ass. Which you are, 99% of the time. I'm not afraid to hurt your feelings. You have like a 2 second rebound rate, then you're back doing the next pain-in-the-ass thing.
Allie: So what?
Noah: So it's not gonna be easy. It's gonna be really hard. We're gonna have to work at this every day, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, for ever, you and me, every day.
I smile everytime I watch this part of the movie. Me and my Chaddy Bear are just like this. I can't live with him at times but I sure wouldn't want to live without him. It kills me to even think of living without him. He is an amazing husband and father. I love that Jett has him to look up to and that I can look up to him too. I am probably the single most difficult woman to please. I am a worrier, a complainer, a nagger, and I have OCD about certain things...yet, this crazy man still loves me and keeps coming back for more. He is so easy going and laid back and I am the exact opposite. I am a mover and shaker and a pain in the royal b-hind. He is so willinging to let me be my crazy self without ever giving up. I don't deserve him. I love you Babe!!!

A Life Lost...

Two doors away from Chad and I a young woman had her life taken away from her and since we found out I can't stop thinking about it. I didn't know her...just the occasional 'Hello, how are you?' type of thing...but I can't stop feeling the sadness of it all. While Chad and I were at home safe with our child sleeping she was at her home two doors away losing her life probably worrying for the saftey of her own child. Reporters and detectives came to our house asking what we knew and I was ashamed to admit that I didn't know my own neighbors well enough to say anything. I keep thinking that maybe I should've been nicer and tried harder to befriend her or noticed something that could've saved her. I read some comments posted on KSL about the murder and people were saying mean things and speculating about things they don't know about. Some said it's a bad neighborhood with meth labs so their not surprised and I just wanted to get on there and yell that it is a wonderful neighborhood but despite what the neighborhood is like doesn't make someone dying so horrifically any easier. Any life is worth respect even in death. She was someone's mom and someone's daughter, friend, neice, aunt, co-worker, and more. Her life was special and shouldn't be dismissed because people say she chose a bad boyfriend or neighborhood. Seriously, people on that comment bored talked about irrelavant stuff and forgot all about the poor woman and her family. I will probably be haunted by this for awhile and I only knew her in passing by so I can only imagine her family. I feel guilty for not noticing something was wrong. You never know when someone needs a prayer or help. My prays will be with her family as I know Heavenly Father is already watching over them and comforting them.

What's a Mommy to do?

Ok, so I am willing to take full blame for what I am about to complain about. It is entirely my fault. I thought I was loving Jett to the fullest by waking up with him multiple times in the night to feed him (even after 5 months). He is almost 10 months now and doesn't sleep through the night. He wakes up to eat...or should I say to cuddle while pretending to nurse. I wanted to give him what he wanted but now it is getting out of hand. I talked to my friend Elisa about it and she told me to try and comfort him in other ways and soon he will stop wanting to "suck". Well, I tried it and I caved. It is kinda that I want to cuddle him and make him happy mixed with I know it is what will allow me to get back to sleep the fastest. I am not going to lie, a part of me enjoys our quiet time together in the dead of the night but the more sane part of me doesn't because she understands she needs sleep. I cave everytime I try not to. The pediatrician has told me several times I look like crap and I need to sleep so let him cry it out and that there is no nutrional value in him eating in the night, but I am wimp and cave everytime. So, I am going to keep trying to break him of the habit but does anyone else have any other suggestoins? He is almost a year and I am planning on stopping breastfeeding then so I need to break him of his midnight snacking. Weening him from the day time will be a piece of cake, but nighttime I am worried about. Please help...I am desperate.
